Guest guest
Your Welcome Joan! I just wanted to give some of the pro's and con's of the juicer before anyone invested a lot of money into one. So, do you raise birds? I have for years and everyone at the grocery store knew that when I bought the baby food, it was for the baby birds! LOL I had to give it up though. I just didn't have the energy for it anymore. I kept 2 of my babies for pets and sold all my pairs. I have a baby Sun Conure and baby Yellow Sided Green Cheek Conure. They are best buds now! Kathy Re: Juicers Kathy - thanks for this post. Just last night I asked my brother if I could borrow his juicer for a month before investing in one. I know juicing is a good thing to do, but I was thinking about the work and the mess... and the taste! Plus, you have to know which foods go together or don't go together and you can overdo some veggies and that's not good for you. It would take planning and more trips to the grocery store to always have fresh foods and knowledge of recipes, etc. None of which I have the energy for right now. I always have baby food on hand for my birds but never thought to use it myself! I'm going to try it. Thanks for the tip! ....joan >>I have a juicer that I bought many years ago. Adding apples made it better, but then you >>have all those calories and natural sugar from the apple juice! Since I am not a big fan of eating veggies raw and don't like to cook either, I started eating baby food to get my veggies. Bonus, you also get fiber! I just chug down a jar of carrots, garden veggies, etc. Have a glass of water on hand, you will need it! LOL You do get used to the taste though. I take baby food with me on trips, etc. My friends think I'm nuts, but who cares. I lost weight doing this years ago, before thyroid problems. Before every meal I would eat 2 jars of veggie baby food and drink a full glass of water. I didn't eat nearly as much for lunch and dinner when I did this! Just my 2 cents worth, Kathy
