Guest guest
Gregg shorthand We also learned Gregg shorthand in high school. I am positive that is what we used. The other names didn't ring a bell at all. Zanna
Guest guest
Zanna, You're not old enough to know shorthand?? i know of a secretary who uses shorthand but she's more my age than yours!! I doubt that it's very prominent. What I learned was " old-fashioned " Gregg shorthand---just before their Diamond Jubilee version was taught. My fast neighbor typist learned " Pitman " shorthand---completely different. My girl friend & I used to write notes to each other in church when I learned it---she was a year ahead of me. My husband learned it also in college where it was required of business education majors. He was told by that teacher that he'd never ever make a teacher. 20+ years later as a highly successful science teacher he'd sure have liked to have had that professor be at his retirement party! He went to science because that's where the jobs were and his minor was science. Lelia
