Guest guest
Have you tried calling your local pharmacies & asking them which doctors prescribe Armour thyroid in your area? My pharmacist gave me three he knew of around here. And that only one pharmacy I called. So others might know more. None of them were on any of the doctors' lists given from anyone in this egroup either. If my current new NP & Dr don't work out, then I'm going to one of the ones the pharmacist gave me. He gave me addresses & phone numbers too. I figure if they're prescribing Armour for other patients then at least they're open & willing to help moreso to other M.Ds. Caroline Re: Armour Doctors I don't trust the Armour doctor list at all! For my area, it had about ten names. Two had disconnected phones, one was a mental health professional, one was a cardiologist, one was a rheumatologist not taking new patients, and the others didn't prescribe Armour at all. I was VERY disillusioned. Laurie
Guest guest
I hear ya! My now fired family doc told me the TSH was normal so NOTHING was out of balance back in June. All I needed to do was take his sleeping pills (which I agreed) and see a counselor!!! I found another doctor... He discovered right away that I was hypoT then later tests showed Adrenal Exhaustion, Hashimoto's, yeast overgrowth, and severe insomnia. I was shocked!!! to find my fired doctor on the Armour Thyroid doctor list!!! Crystal >>> I don't trust the Armour doctor list at all! For my area, it had about ten names. Guest guest
Try calling one or more pharmacies in your area & ask the pharmacists which doctors prescribe Armour. I did that & will go to one of those if my new NP/Dr. doesn't work out for prescribing/dosing Armour for symptoms. My pharmacist, the only one I've called so far, was very cooperative in telling me lots of things about natural thyroid, Armour & where they get it, & which doctors prescribe it in my area. Yours will too...keep trying... Caroline Re: Armour Doctors I had a feeling it was to good to be true. There is a Dr. on the list just a few blocks from me. I am tempted to call on Monday. I bet he will not prescribe Armour! Kathy
