Guest guest
Hi Betty, Do you think you'll be able to let your doctor prescribe more meds for you? Also, why did you quit fully on the T4 med? Personally I think that people get a better & smooth transition if they slowly reduce the T4 while adding half or quart grains Armour at a time! You can still do that at this point and add 25 mcg T4. (Personally I made the switch in one step, BUT, I was already using synthetic T3 -Cytomel- !!!). However, I'm convinced you'll feel so much better soon and the panic will vanish! Do you think your doctor will apreciate some print-outs from the file-section ..... ? Guest guest
Hi ..Yes my doctor upped meds to 90mgs.I will take my 60mgs in morning and 30 in afternoon. My doctor has never used this med and I never thought about the transitional part of all this.He said wait one month then blood work again. My panic was as long as I can get back up with out to many problems. But then I realized this is faster acting then t4 alone......Thank-you for helping me understand.I want this to work so bad.I have tried t4...t4-t3.. and now this. But never could get things regulated. The struggle has really gotten to me I guess you could say.Mentally as well as physically.....Betty amyriadstars wrote: > > Hi Betty, > > Do you think you'll be able to let your doctor prescribe more meds > for you? > > Also, why did you quit fully on the T4 med? Guest guest
Hi Betty, You'll get there!!! I agree with Laurie, you just need more thyroid hormones! It is very nice of your doctor that he is willing to prescribe you Armour although he has no experience with it. I wish more doctors would be that brave! I can understand so well that the struggle has gotten to you. It does sometimes, especially as long as you are not at or near your right dosage. Therefore I can only say one thing: Just hang in there!!! Most of us have to learn through trial and error. We have to feel ourselfs what the meds do for us. It is very good to keep a journal though. It will really help to understand the connection with the dosage-amount and your symptoms. Several months later, I learned that the way I feel is connected to the dose I took 4 weeks before.....
