Guest guest
HI, Aria, So nice to meet you! I love your name! It sounds so beautiful. Since I'm so far behind reading your e-mail, I'm going to assume that others have already addressed your questions. I have fibromyalgia, hypothyroidism, and depression also. (And other things too. LOL) If you want to discuss this Further you can e-mail me at cubfan23@.... I want to get back into quilting myself. I need some new scissors. Do you recommend any particular scissors for Quilting that you've found works well? I'm going to ask for some for Christmas. Take care and I hope you get the help you need to improve your health and get you feeling good! in Va. My name is Aria. I'm 49 yrs old, married to Terry for 32 years. Live in Northern Indiana just outside of Fort Wayne in a very small town called Roanoke. Have a daughter, (30), married and has 2 wonderful daughters. Have a son, Greg (26), married and also has 2 wonderful daughters. My main hobby is quilting. I have Fibromyalgia, CFS, low thyroid, depression, RA, OA, and other things. I take Levoxyl .0625 a very low dosage. Each time the Dr checks to renew my prescription he says it's where it's suppose to be. I don't feel any better now then when I started taking it. I've been on it for several years now. I'm always exhausted. No energy. I actually have 2 questions right now. I've been reading some of the messages to try and get an idea. What is Armour and what is T3, T4???? I need some energy, I don't like feeling I need to sleep all day. I want my life back. I'm on more medicine then just levoxyl. Guest guest
Hi Aria! My grandfather was born and raised in Rising Sun. CFS is undertreated/untreated hypothyroid, by the way. Many cases of Fibro are undertreated/untreated hypothyroid. Depression is usually the result of undertreated/untreated hypothyroid (it's low T3). Levoxyl is a T4-only med. T4 is a storage hormone meant to convert to T3, the active hormone. Your thyroid doesn't " just " give you T4. It gives also gives you direct T3 (the active hormone which gives you complete overall health), T2, T1 and calcitonin. Thus, it is a FAR superior treatment to T4-only meds like Levoxyl. Your doctor is a typical ignorant doctor who bases " normalcy " on whether you fall within a range on a lab. It's ridiculous. When folks here are optimally treated on Armour, their TSH is WAYY below range...i.e. below 1, and their free T3 is usually over range. By those ranges, that would imply we are HYPER, which is FAR from the truth. And....the TSH if the worst method of accessing if you are getting the thyroid hormones that you need. A far more informative lab is the FREE T3 (note the word FREE which measures what is available and unbound). When your free T3 is at the top of the range and OVER, you are optimally treated. I have yet to see ANYONE on T4-only meds get their free T3 above mid-range, and it's usually in the low end. You need to find a doc who will treat you with Armour, and will treat you MUCH more by symptoms rather than labs. Check out the LINKS section for the Armour Locate-A-Doc in your area. If you use the TOP DOCS, you will need to read carefully since it's open to any doc that someone liked, and not necessarily a good ARMOUR doc. You can also go to a large pharmacy and ask the pharmacist (NOT the employees) who prescribes Armour. Also take time to read the FILES section. We are glad you are here. It's time to be your own best advocate, dear one. Janie > > My name is Aria. I'm 49 yrs old, married to Terry for 32 years.
