I just wanted to send a quick email to let you know that we (5 of us anyway--Meagan's Spring Break unfortunately does not coincide, and Adam is unable to fly--but there will be other opportunities) will be leaving for Hawaii this coming Wed. (we'll spend the first night in the DFW area to make the " red-eye " flight to Los Angeles on Thurs. am, then on to Maui and Kauai from there. This will be the second trip to paradise for Lennie and me, but the first for the kids. We've already got a full itinerary of snorkeling, helicopter ride, deep sea fishing (Lennie & ), luau, geeeeeentle boat ride/walk to fern grotto (me, Isaac, and Abby), surfing lessons ( and Isaac), and a whale watching cruise (it's humpback whale season now). We'll be gone about 10 days or so. It's Spring Break for the kids, and we hope this will be a truly memorable " trip of a lifetime " for them (and us). We recently got a laptop computer, but don't plan on really " being online " except to check flights, etc. during that time. I'll be online as time allows between now and Wed. We still have lots of packing/preparation/planning to do between now and then. God willing, I intend to have, enjoy, and savor these precious moments in true paradise on earth with my family before coming back to TX to face that daunting spinal surgery this summer....and undergoes that new sleep latency study and the surgical removal of his loop recorder (heart surgery) in April. It's DEFINITELY time to wiggle my toes in that white, sugary sand.....and the black volcanic " sand " as well. Never, never did I dare to dream that little me would ever really see those awesome places...and more than once. God is so good to me and mine, and I am so very thankful. Really. My heart has wings!
