Guest guest
Dwight had his trained to where he could take them on a back road, I am talking North Dakota's back roads. Anyway he had them to where they would stay right beside his car he had a little Carmegian (?) and if they came to a stop sign Dwight would slow down and stop and so did the dogs. I think he would let them run at their pace, for about 5 miles, then they would get in the car and go home. I asked Dwight how come you don't see them anymore, he said that they bred dogs that had to many of the same ancestors and they became very hyper, more so than normal. I think they are being very cautious. I would love to have one too, but they require too much exercise. Lin, You do not see Irish Setters in this area either. The only one's that I even know of, are my little brothers best friend had one years ago, and our old police chief use to have one named ! Both are long gone along with Happy and ! They are such gorgeous dogs and would not mind having one if they did not need so much exercise!! LOL Always! Dawn No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Anti-Virus. Guest guest
Lin, They are gorgeous creatures and glad that they might be doing the right thing with breeding them, since so many out there have those puppy mills and discard them like they are nothing! My Mom has always said that she would love to someday adopt a grey hound which is such a great tempered animal. I may also someday after learning what happens to so many of them after they can no longer run and make money at the dog tracks!!!!! This makes me sick and would love to see these jerks put in jail for cruelty, but once again it is not about the welfare of the dog, but about the almighty dollar!!!!!!!! I would rather be poor and live in the streets, then to support and make money off of animals!! Take Care and LOL Always!
