Barb, it's just a dexa scan. You lay on a table, and a machine goes back

and forth over several areas of your body - ankle, hip and spine, I think.

Anyway, if you wear slacks with a zipper, you will need to unzip them,

otherwise if you wear elastic waist, you don't have to adjust anything. It

takes about 20-30 minutes. You need to lay still. That's it! :-)

So, can anyone tell me exactly what is involved in the testing for

osteoporosis? I am planning to ask my MD for a scan soon.
