Guest guest
Hi Everyone There was a great article Jill posted on Diagnosing EDS (I think it was from: http://www.ehlers-danlos.org/Info% 20Sheets/diagnosing.htm). I have a question about the skin hyperextensity score: " Hyperextensibility The degree of skin extensibility varies from patient to patient, and between various sites of the body, the skin of the ventral aspect of the forearm is lifted at a point midway between the elbow and the wrist joint. The distance to which this skin fold can be stretched without causing discomfort is measured in centimeters. An extensibility score (from 0-5) is calculated on the following basis: Less than 4 cm, 0.5 cm, 2.7 cm = 4 More than 4 cm, 1.6 cm, 3.8 cm = 5 " Can someone help me understand the extensibility score? If your skin stretches between 0.5cms and 2.7 CMs less than 4 cms you score 4? Is that it? Thanks for helping me clear that up! -Rhea
