Guest guest
, this is VERY MUCH like what Mike was exhibiting with his Narcolepsy! You DO need to get a sleep study done before you get hurt, dear one! Love Lana desparate to stay awake! Hi everyone, I am really getting very desparate about this falling asleep business. I cannot do anything without falling asleep in the middle of it. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the POTS or other dysautomic problems? I am having a horrible time getting any help here and don't know where else to turn. I think my husband even was a bit shocked on our ride back from visiting our girls at school when I was unable to put the pieces of my e-stim unit back in the box without falling asleep repeatedly with parts of it in my hands. I am really feeling desparate about this as I am getting more and more disabled by it and unable to do anything. I appreciate any help or ideas anyone has. Oh, there was also some question by the local radiologist as to whether my fusion is healing well or not. I'm sure this has nothing to do with the fatigue though. Fatigue is such an inadequate word to describe what is happening to me.It it weren't so bad, it would be funny at times like when I fall asleep sitting on the toliet (waiting and waiting because I can't start) and wake up as I start falling over onto the floor. The wierd thing is that I immediately start dreaming some wierd thing at the very instant I seem to fall asleep. Sometimes, I find myself actually " acting " out whatever I am dreaming about. Guess I better not have a PJ party anytime soon!! UGGGHGHGHGH! Thank you all.
Guest guest
Hi, You do need to go to a sleep center. The dreams, the acting out, falling asleep all the time - well, you have a sleep disorder. I'm going to a sleep center tomorrow for my initial consult. I don't know exactly what they are gonna do yet. I sleep all the time, but it's always a conscious thing. I'm just so tired all the time. I sleep even if I have 10 minutes. I just put the alarm on. Then, I sleep all night. I never have a problem falling asleep. I could, and have, sleep almost the whole day away, and still sleep all night. So, my dr thinks I may have sleep apnea, which my brother has. Or a mild form of narcolepsy. You have to have this taken care of. I hope you aren't driving now. That would be very dangerous. Good luck. See your dr, and ask about a sleep study. Hugs,

I cannot even read without my vision starting to " swim " and my starting to fade. I feel asleep waiting in the exam room today for the urologist.
