Guest guest
I am new to this forum as far as posting , I have been reading everything I can get in front of my eyes that has to do with RSD. I have been struggleing with severe burning pain in my knee that goes down to my foot and sometimes up my leg to my butt, It someitmes feels like someone has stuck a red hot iron into my knee ( This being the main problem) and a list of other symtoms to go along with it that fit right in with being RSD. This all started over a year ago, I was injured at work and dislocated my kneecap, needless to say I have had 2 knee surgeries from 2 differant Doctors, Months and Months of PT and more pain and pills then I have ever had in my life! And I have only missed 8 weeks of work. Well The pain is now getting so bad I do not know how much longer I can keep this up. My GP does not know what to do? My Ortho says that my knee should be ok, ( not even! ) and I have givin up thinking that this thing will fix its self. I have a appot. with a Pain pysch. next week. what I need is some help from anyone from the Seattle area that knows of a Excellent Doctor that specilizes in RSD or Nerve pain. I have looked through the phone book and have looked online and have found several that look good on paper..... but I know what it is like going through Doctors trying to find a good one. I am the Sole provider for my Family, my Wife and two teenage kids and am very scared about my condition and what it might become or is already there, and I feel every day is lost is another I will never get back. If anyone as any information on Doctors that would help me I would be gratfull!
Guest guest
My Ortho says that my knee should be ok, ( not even! ) Moonman, Normally, it should be okay, but obviously it isn't. And that's when the doctor has to figure out why. Guess he's probably scared of getting sued for blotching it. I don't really think the doctors are at fault a lot of the time--things happen. But he probably doesn't want to admit it didn't go so well this time. Insist on seeing a pain doctor--which it sounds like you're working on--and make sure workman's comp takes care of your needs. I've also heard on here to make sure it's understood that this will be a lifetime medical issue (or until they find a cure), so they won't short-change you. By the way, welcome to the group. Hope we can be of help. N. __________________________________________________
