Guest guest
Thanks a lot, !! This is really interesting... I also have tachycardia which they mean is not caused by the mitral valve insufficiency... It got worse lately, but it was probably due to my lungs being so obstructed because of a long time with pneumonia. I just did not get enough oxygen. I often get lightheadedness and dizzy too... I never fainted though, although I have felt close sometimes. I have a lot of tingling and such... My heart beat is often so hard it keeps me awake. The heart also seems to do a few funny things, like jumping around, skipping beats and then beating like crazy afterwards... It obviously feels worst at rest, probably because I just notice it more then. The cardiologist put me on some betablockers, but I didn't even get to start them before my GP took me off them again. He meant we ran a risk of really worsening my asthma which is probably part of my ongoing pneumonia problem. And he meant that the pulse rate would calm down if I only got the lung problem sorted out. And it is also a bit better, it is not so frantic and very hard beating. I guess it is back to around 100 bpm. at rest, which should be quite OK, I guess. Oh well... If I feel that it becomes a problem again, I will ask about this. The cardiologist mentioned referring for a holter monitor test, but I am not sure if she really did it, or if she decided just to go for the beta blockers and let it be with that... Anyway, thanks! It is sometimes very confusing with abbreviations, he-he... Aase Marit
