They have ice storms there!!!!!! Had one the past 2 years of a severe nature. But then, there seems to be bad weather everywhere! But they don't last long and you learn to adjust. No different here when it is -30 degrees out with people dying from exposure. Or the snow storms. You are right all places have their advantages and disadvantages.
