Guest guest Posted January 8, 2007 Report Share Posted January 8, 2007 Hi does anyone know what the " average " rate of growth would be for a 6 month old? My son grew 16mm in the 7 weeks spanning age 4 months to 5.5 months, and our ortho said that was a lot. Of course we're waiting for his band, so I'm wondering roughly what I " might " expect for weekly/monthly growth from here on out, knowing that all babies are different and there are growth spurts to factor in as well. His head is (as of Jan 2) now about 460 mm on circ. The ortho seemed to think they'd start phasing out a helmet around 480? Does any of this sound familiar? Since he is mild our ortho suggested banding for one month and then reevaluating and possibly going to night only wear for the remainder of treatment, but it would depend on his growth in that one month, so I'm just trying to kind of give myself some idea of averages.
