Gosh, I had forgotten all about that being how we met! It just feels like I've known you for ages, even though we never have met in person. It is truly amazing how the Internet has made these connections possible. I was diagnosed before there was a single website about EDS. I remember the very first EDS website ever. Not long after that, I learned to make web pages myself and I did the Seattle EDS website. Both of those early websites are long gone and so is that original EDS list. Now, there are over 60 email lists for people with EDS. I just updated this list last week. http://www.edstoday.org/support/internet.htm I remember when the very first list was created. I think I was the 5th person to join back in 1995. The EDS Community has made tremendous growth through the Internet over the last 9 years. I'm just glad to have played a small part. -Barb
Guest guest
Hi Aase Marit, Wow! What a story! Now I feel kind of like I am related to you and to Barb in some new, strange way,,, you know, like passing down the torch from Barb to you to me has made us all related! ) I hope that some day, I will get the opportunity to meet you in person also. I think that it is so wonderful that you are able to come....or at least are able to swing it all...all the way from Norway to the conference. Never having been there, it must be a great time and one of lots of all-nighters staying up til the wee hours of dawn talking to " old " new friends. Boo hoo hoo, I wanna come too!! I loved reading your letter and am so glad that you are back!
