The severity of Ehlers-Danlos syndrome can range from having loose joints which may dislocate easily with few other complications to... The underlying features of all forms of EDS is a defect in the molecule which makes up the connective tissues (skin, ligaments, tendons)... All forms of EDS are inherited and appear early in childhood... The defects are in the collagen molecules... Type III, benign hypermobility: Skin may be soft and velvety. Joint hyper- mobility is generalized, affecting large (elbows, knees hips) and small (fingers, toes)... joint dislocations are common and can be done at will. She did it on purpose.
