Guest guest
Are you big, medium or small boned? Hard to know for many of us. This site shows us how to " measure " our bone size and has a guide that is equal to our age, bone size and so on... again, just another chart " out there " but might prove helpful to some: http://www.dietitian.com/ibw/ibw.html No accurate " weight " charts for ethnic people? Here they are... children's charts as well. I have NO idea if they are accurate or not but thought it nice of someone to realize their is a difference!!! http://www.halls.md/chart/child-growth/height-weight.htm This page has a list of " charts " for men, women and children and then divided up into white, hispanic, black and other -- maybe they are more accurate and maybe not. I don't really know but thought I'd throw it out there and let y'all judge for yourselves. ~smile~ This Doctor (Hall) uses a national percentiles type thing. Guest guest
Wow. This was fun! It says I'm too large boned for my ht, basically. LOL! I always knew I was large boned from a chart like this, with the elbow measure. But I shudder to think that anyone would take the nutrition suggestion seriously. 218g carbs per day? LOL! And then the vites sound barely adequate for ANYONE, let alone " us " . But even so, the data being gathered is fascinating and hopefully helpful to those of us who don't know if we are too fat, too thin or where the heck we are. I just know it defined me as a pear now! I was gonna call it a liar, but realize that with TT, I have fooled it completely! LOL! Guest guest
Yeah..the diet part of this was really skewed...I tried to switch the protein for the carbs and it wouldn't let me...so I just left it as is and ignored it...was more interested in what it had to say about my body. Says I'm medium framed...as I measured 2 1/4 inches across my elbow...that's rough though..since I don't have the calipers...but how it can say we are pears when it doesn't ask for a chest or bust measurement I'll never know!! I have a BIG 28 inch waist and 37 inch hips..and it said I was pear shaped!! Go figure!! It actually said I was a little too lean...and maybe should consider GAINING some weight...egads!! Perish the thought!! My immune system is working okay, and I'm healthy. Would rather be a little lean than the other way around...I understand you live longer!! Regards~ Jacque > Wow. This was fun!
