As to preference, one versus another in certain situations, the only thing I can

really say about this is to do what feels right to you at the time.

I can not stress enough the importance of " listening to your hands " and going

with your intuition.

Thank-you for explaining the differences in the X, V, & grip(palm) techniques.

I'm happy to hear I should " follow " what my hands seem drawn to do. Sometimes it

feels like I should have them placed differently, or use my palms, or just use

my finger tips. Once or twice they have even had the feeling to move over while

working on a place I know I was where it felt right to begin with. When I've

gone with the feeling is when I've felt the electrical feeling and warmth in my

hands. the times I haven't gone with it, I don't have as good results.
