Im sorry that you're feeling so down about having to use the cane, but try and remember that the cane isnt what makes you and should only be considered as an extra "leg" It doesnt make you any less of a person and it doesnt define you. Unfortunately people can be so callous sometimes and dont realize how hurtful they are being. Ihope at least part of the wedding was enjoyable for you. Hugs my friendDonna

Hi Deb, Don't feel bad about using a cane, Hey at least you can get around and be independant. I went from wheel chair to walker to crutches to one crutch to two forearem crutches to sometimes one forearm crutch. You know what, If someone cant see past the disability and see me then they are not worth it!!!.... YOU are important not what you use to get around. The rest of the world will just have to GET OVER IT!!!! LOL!!! Love Jai

I know it seems so minor a deal but to me it's another means of admitting I have

RSD. I am still having problem.

I agree with Jai too.....If they can't see you for who you are, they aren't worth wasting your time on. You are a special person in your own right....and if someone doesn't want to look past your skin and see the person inside and see who you really are, then they are just shallow and worthless.

Deb and Donna,

I totally agree with what Jai says below. If the person can't see past the can, then it is the other person who is truly handicapped not you.
