Guest guest
After feeling the pulse sensation in my finger tips, it felt like 'something' was all over the place inside the knee, and the pulsing was very irregular, but the longer I held it, the more rhythmical it became. Until it finally felt balanced. ... I still use this procedure on it when it starts in hurting. And since that time the area that runs down the anterior side of the tibia was sore....not anymore since doing that to my knee. I've been trying the new procedures you've mentioned too-with good results. One time it felt like my hands had electric currents with a warm sensation run up as far as the lower forearm. I've used the x-technique on other joints as well-with great results. I'm still amazed this works!! They do some myofacial release work too-but I haven't had that done there.--tho' my PT thinks my thumb needs it near the incision. (so do I) How is that done for a thumb incision? the (former) doubting one~ CindyH ----------------- (1) The sensations you describe are typical. For me, they usually start with a ping-pong,see-saw, sensation. They can then get very chaotic and just swirl all over the place until they get into an even pattern and finally either balance out or fade away. (2) The pain that ran down the anterior side of your tibia was probably caused by a fascial restriction. I was absolutely shocked to discover while working on 's and Dylan that this stuff also works great for doing myofascial release. Both of those cases were from using Jin Shin Do Acupressure but there is no reason why broad area polarity wouldn't do it as well. (3) Heat sensations are also very common, either from the giver or the givee. As Barb, and Cindy can attest, when my hands are in " treatment mode " they get very hot. At times they will radiate so much heat that you can feel it on the skin from six inches to a foot away from the body. (4) As far working on other joints, keep in mind that if you can do this on yourself - you can just as easily do it on other people around you. (5) Since you have been getting results with it, a question out of curiosity. Do you have any idea how many pain meds you have NOT had to take since starting to do this? (6) MFR near the thumb incision? Here are some passages from my MFR I manual from : " Scar tissue can create extensive dysfunction within the fascial system...and have long reaching effects throughout the body causing seemingly unrelated symptoms and dysfunctions. No scar should go unevaluated. Even the smallest scar can be just the " tip of the iceberg " of fascial dysfunction. Techinque: Palpate along the entire length of the scar to determine the most tender point. When the most tender point is determined apply pressure into that area through 360 degrees to evaluate the most tender direction within that point. Once that is determined, pressure is applied into the barrier into the direction that is most tender. Wait against the barrier until a release occurs. Then follow the inherent motion in whatever direction it takes you to each succesive barrier until all is quiescent. Do not direct or force the motion. Do not let the motion return in the same direction from which it came. Two hands are used, the bottom hand for direction, the top for force. Encourage patient to take deep breaths and allow the release of any emotion or noise. Always give the patient a control word, but also explain the benefit of going through the pain to get an effective result. " That is a bit of a description of what is involved. Use of a control word is because scar release can be a bit painful at times and the control word is simply something that the patient or client can quickly say to get the therapist to ease up or stop. As for the thumb, the therapist would probably just be using a couple of finger tips instead of the flats of the hands because of limited space, but the basic technique would be the same. Well, when you put a 9 volt battery on your tongue. It was really strong and icky. I had to keep shaking the energy off my fingers. It was almost a hurting feeling. You never know what this stuff is going to feel like until you experience it for your self. I can feel the pulsing on all my dogs now! It must have been there all along, maybe I didn't tune into it? I fell asleep with my greyhound's hip booboo in my hands last night. LOL Cindy C.
