Guest guest
From: mikeuggen I KNOW this sounds strange. Half of this stuff I recommend sounds strange. All I can tell you is that it works. I didn't believe it myself either until I started being able to do it. ~ Mike, I agree it sounds strange-and that's what I thought when I read about it for the first time. But my knee was so miserable I thought I might as well give it a try. That's why I tried the X-technique, but to be honest I pretty much doubted it would work... First off I thought it would take a long period of concentration, and was really surprised to feel a pulse type sensation right away. --I think I lucked out and found the right spots on the first try. <g> After feeling the pulse sensation in my finger tips, it felt like 'something' was all over the place inside the knee, and the pulsing was very irregular, but the longer I held it, the more rhythmical it became. Until it finally felt balanced. Then to surprise me even more--- it felt so great right after I'd done it. [i even wrote you off list to find out if I was imagining all this. <lol> ] I still use this procedure on it when it starts in hurting. And since that time the area that runs down the anterior side of the tibia was sore....not anymore since doing that to my knee. I've been trying the new procedures you've mentioned too-with good results. One time it felt like my hands had electric currents with a warm sensation run up as far as the lower forearm. That I haven't mentioned to you before. Last night I tried the technique you described for the piriformus syndrome. I could feel the energy all over, and it's embarrassing to say----I fell asleep before I finished...even so it's a bit better today, and most of the pain from that area is situated at the top of the femur now, near where I feel the hip slip out. (that's what starts all this in to begin with.) I've used the x-technique on other joints as well-with great results. I'm still amazed this works!! I *know* lymphatic drainage works from just the one area it's been used on. The hand therapy clinic that's associated with my hand surgeons office uses this technique. It has given me relief on so many occasions. I even use it at home....and still do for my post-op thumb surgeries. They do some myofacial release work too-but I haven't had that done there.--tho' my PT thinks my thumb needs it near the incision. (so do I) How is that done for a thumb incision? Thanks so much for posting these techniques. And I'm so grateful this has come easily to me. ~the (former) doubting one~ CindyH
