Hello everyone,

This all over continuous feeling is getting to me. I have it in

both feet and legs and both arms and hands, plus my face, lips, and

mouth. I have pains but this is not a pain. When the numbness

builds and my muscles go weak and needles are everywhere I have

tried a hot shower. That sensation masked the numbness while I'm in

the shower and seems to lessen it a bit after for maybe 1/2 hr or

so. Do you know what mechanism is triggered to cause this

numbness? I am assuming it is RSD. I just never had this as a

constant even when it was just in my leg. I had the numbing pain

but the the stinging needles. My logic says it is very much like

when one lays on a limb and cuts off the circulation. If that is

it? What the heck is cutting of the circulation? And if it is cut

off have anyone here received treatment to stop it...I'm sure THAT

is asking too much, right......ummmm,

Hope you are having a low pain day, Lyn

Lyn,

It sounds like you've got something going on.. You may want to check with your ortho, see if you've got herniated discs or a pinched nerve(s) that are causing these problems.

I think, sometimes, we attribute all of our problems with RSD and don't look any further for an underlying problem...

Please go see your Dr. Numbness, etc. is never a good thing!

Hugs,

Jo

Lyn,

I have had my arm totally go numb before and actually couldn't move it...it was caused by a bad flare up from the RSD. It was painful..but not unusually painful for my right arm which has the RSD...but it was almost as if my arm couldn't get the signal from my brain to move. It lasted about 4-5 days and got better thankfully. In the mornings I get that numbness for about 20 mins or so and then it goes away...but nothing like what i went through when it was in that flare up. Have you seen your dr about what is going on? I know they had to increase my meds to help it stop..Hope it goes away quickly for you...Hugs..Ginnylynlorraine wrote:
