2 wk update & Dr Appt

... Went to the OS yesturday (Tuesday) for my 2 wk appt. Everything looks

very good. Alot more of the swelling has gone down (I know have a chin again

.. lol). Still have some puffiness in my upper cheeks (basically under my

eyes) and my upper lip still. The best way to put it is I look like I had my

wisdom teeth pulled.

... He said by 5-6 wks the swelling should be completely gone. He put new

rubber bands in again this week, so my jaw in the front is feeling tight

again because I need to break in the new bands. (lol)

... Monday, I also went on my first outting (went to Wal-Mart and Publix).

and Also did my laundry. Well... That was a NO-NO, because I definitly FELT

it on Tuesday. My face felt very tight and alittle more swollen. So I asked

my OS about it on Tuesday at the appt and he said I basically did a NO-NO

(but it was something he expected.. It was the 2 wk Cabin Fever.. Need to

get back in the swing of things Mistake I made.. LOL)

... So I basically over did it, even tho I hardly did anything.. So another

week I go without my kids..(Of course they are having fun at Grandma/Grandpa

s ... (Which I guess is a good thing because Now my Mom doesnt want to give

them back because my parents are sick and she's afraid I will get sick even

tho the kids arent)..

... I'm still on my liquids but I can now SLOWLY add SOFT foods.. (YAY!!!) So

last night, I had scrambled eggs and Salsa (which the salsa I had to blend

up alittle more) but it was SO GOOD. I also discovered.. I don't know how to

chew.. (as funny as that sounds).. So I need to Re-Learn how to chew with my

New jaw.

I feel like a 'baby' right now.. the soft foods and not knowing how to chew.

Gawd, as long as I dont have to re-live childhood, then Im fine with it.

LOL..

... As of Saturday, I've also lost 10.5 lbs since my Surgery 2 wks ago. (As

nice as that might sound to most.. I dont like it.. lol)..

... I go back to the OS next Tuesday for my 3 wk appt. He also told me to

reschedule my cleaning next month for 3 months down the road... (Which I was

happy to hear).. He also told me to reschedule the Appt I have next Tuesday

with the Ortho for another 3 wks.. Because its too soon in his opinion for

me to be going at only 3 wks Post-Op.. He would rather it be 6 wks Post-Op.

(Which again I was happy to hear because Im not ready for that yet.. )

... So everything is doing GREAT and looks great.. Sorry this post was so

long winded..
