Guest guest Posted February 4, 2004 Report Share Posted February 4, 2004 Mike I have been meditating since I was 13 (am now sadly 31) and have recently gone back to the basic idea of a tape my psychiatrist made for me many years ago about my fear of flying. I used to get so relaxed listening to his voice and following the breathing techniques that I was asleep when he had me start imagining my relaxing place (for me that was playing basketball). I lost the tape years ago but remember the jst of it. I have also done some deep breathing where I breath in relaxation and comfort and breath out stress and bad mojo (thoughts I guess I mean). I would love to learn more about accupressure my pain Dr is starting me on it but I have to travel 3 hours to see him. He has EDS and Lupus and does a short day plus he's also has a seperate practice as a psychiatrist. I would like it if you could e-mail me privately and you could answer some questions and maybe help me find some more natural types of pain relief. My sister in law is a Registered Massage therapist also so any suggestions for message I will happily consider. I tried e-mailing you privately with the address that comes up on the list but every time it has been returned to me saying that is not an address. I would appreciate any time you could give me and would even be will to call you if you needed to explain things over the phone.
