WOW!!

Who knew so many people here were interested in birds? It is one of the few

hobbies we can pursue without leaving the house. I saw an interesting one this

morning - an indigo bunting (Mainly blue, and a bit of tan, black and white),

two northern flickers (a male and female) yesterday which I rarely see, There

seem to be quite a few interesting ones around lately. I saw an eagle here a few

days ago (since they are expanding their range, they get further up the valley

from their manin feeding grounds) so that is a real treat here!

I remember the great delight my uncle who died of emphysema a couple years ago

took in his hummingbird and bird feeders since he was pretty well house bound.

Birding really is getting popular here. Another sure sign - I passed a seniors

residence the other day and some windows had some pretty snazzy homemade bird

feeders attached.
