Guest guest
and Ray took a river float trip in Haines, Alaska, in the evening, thru the Eagle Reserve area. loved seeing all the eagles and still talks about this today! I can't remember how many eagles she counted on the sunset float trip. Haines is one of the cities at the " top " of the inside passage. We were on an inside passage cruise in August 2002. We've seen lots of eagles when we've been through Yellowstone National Park...they are just soooo neat to watch! The evening after and I had been to see the Medicine Woman, we were coming down a hill into our little village. Right in front of the car was a HUGE bird flying and keeping pace of my car..... It was just in front of the hood. I wonder to this day if it was an eagle welcoming back from the Medicine Woman's home. My dad, who lives an hour southwest of Milwaukee says there is an eagle that lives near him. He loves to sit and watch that eagle hunt over the farm fields. My dad has a house on 5.5 acres of land that was part of an old farm. He, too, always has a bird book on hand and binoculars! I always know when there are birds outside because of how our cats act when they watch the birds! Bonnie
