I wish they'd also consider audience issues. Here, the opera's wheelchair

accomodations are in only two places: front row orchestra and

middle-of-foot-traffic in the first balcony. Neither are particularly

affordable, and neither are

very desirable.

The ultimate irony here: the handicapped parking spaces for the downtown

theatres have had to be labelled " not wheelchair accessible " -- because you

can't

get to the theaters from the garage in a chair. Isn't THAT lovely?
