Once your child has the helmet, should he/she still avoid pressure on the areas that need to be corrected? I am worried b/c Saylor's daycare provider has not been very diligent in following my instructions when I attempted repositioning. I know her babysitter likes to place her in the floor - inevitably, Saylor will roll over on her back. Because the back of her head is flat (she is getting the Starband in 2 weeks), should she still not be putting pressure on that area after getting the helmet? I am also wondering if anyone else has any other advice for daycare. My daycare provider asked me if she would need to take the helmet off to check for red spots and leave it off if she had any. Supposedly, she has kept a baby who had a helmet and his parents told her to do this! Of course, I said noooooooo!!! I asked her to call me if there are any problems but do not take it

off and put it back on. I just wondered if I still needed to tell her to try to keep Saylor off the back of her head during playtime with the helmet. Symborski Media Specialist stacy_holcombe@... A library is a hospital for the mind. Anonymous
