DiabeticFeed: A Podcast

For some time now, I have been listening to a podcast entitled

" diabeticfeed. " I don't know how many of you are familiar with

podcasts, but I can honestly say that since they made their appearance

in my life, I can't imagine how I ever got along without them.

At any rate, if you wish to listen to diabeticfeed, you can either use

iTunes (which is what I use) or any other podcatcher of your choice to

download them. The website (if you don't want to just simply subscribe

via iTunes) is:

http://diabeticfeed.blogspot.com/

If you are using iTunes, simply go to the Music Store, select Podcasts,

select Health under Categories, select either All or Diet & Nutrition,

go down till you find diabeticfeed, click the Subscribe button and Bob's

your uncle!

You don't need to spend a lot of money on an iPod, your computer will

work fine as long as you have speakers. The advantage of an iPod is

that you can transfer the podcasts that you download from iTunes onto

your iPod and then you can listen to them while you're out walking.

No, I don't work for Apple. I wouldn't get much of a commission if I

did since iTunes is free. You can alternatively choose to use

MusicMatch, WinAmp, RealPlayer or even the brand-new Songbird to play

your podcasts. I believe Yahoo is playing in this market as well.

Additionally, Amazon is said to be well on the way with a launch of its own.

The music, most videos, audiobooks, etc., that you can get from these

services cost money. Podcasts, however, are free.

If you need help with any of this, there are innumerable sources on the

Internet. A Google search on " podcast " returns 153,000,000 results. So

you should be able to find explanations on the Net that deal with

podcasting in great detail. If you need help, please contact me

off-list and I'll do my best to provide what assistance I can. I must

warn you, however, that although I'm a retired mainframe systems

programmer, I'm no PC Guru.
