Guest guest Posted November 9, 2004 Report Share Posted November 9, 2004 Worst part is they kept this nurse AND put her on the case of an infant on a ventilator. Our doc and I have spoken with the head of the agency and the board of nursing today.....she is not qualified for this case, they just need someone who wants hours. I told the lady at the board that I feared for this baby's life. Agency said they'd remove her---doc said good because he's already talked to the baby's doc who has talked with the mom. They're doing an emergent admit until someone qualified is available. Apparently, the mom had some questions about some of the care too. Sad--huh? At least mine was old enough to tell the docs some of the things that were or weren't going on. Are you sure you don't live in Portland OR? Because it sounds like something that my agency would do.
