Guest guest
Vicki! Oh great! Something else to worry about! He said he was going to reduce my Pred last time, but then my cpk's went up and he changed his mind. Hopefully I will be more rested when I take my next test and my CPKs will be down. I have another appt on Friday so I will take my test on tuesday and see where we are at. My arms feel better this morning, and I think it does have to do with the fact that I slept something like 18 hours in the last day or so! He has been raising my methx each time I go in. It is weird that the prozac makes you sleepy because it makes me have more energy. I've been on prozac for years and don't really want to mess with it while I am adapting to all these other drugs. I can definitely tell the difference when I am not taking it or go to a lower dosage. I am going to try really hard to rest as much as possible and if I am not feeling better by Friday, I will definitely let him know something has to change! Thanks for being here! Vickie Hi Vickie ****Right now I am on 60 mg pred**** If you've been on this high dose for a few months now... it could be that you're like me and some others around here, that you've developed what they call Steroid Myopathy. It's where the Pred is making you worse because of the high dose... Your Methx should be raised and your Pred lowered.... I found that when I got down to 20mgs I did a whole lot better. Call you doctor on Monday and tell him something has to change.... You can't keep going like this. I felt the exact same way you are feeling now when I was on 60mgs.... It was a horrible feeling. I wish I wrote all this down but I didn't, I think I dropped 10 mgs every week until I got down to 20mgs and I stayed there for a long while. *****60 mg prozac***** I took prozac at one time and it made me so tired all day long I had to get off. I slept almost round the clock. If I wasn't sleeping I was thinking about it. Yet, like much of the other meds, I believe it's Annette that's been taking Prozac for years and loves it. This is another drug that could be making you very tired all the time. ****My upper arms are bothering me more lately and that makes it harder to get up out of chairs and typing at the computer is more uncomfortable.**** It could be either one of the drugs.... you might try changing the prozac first but call your doctor and tell hime what's going on. Also, now that you've decided to change your lifestyle, your CPK's might start to fall. It's so important to rest as much as possible when you've got this disease. Getting it under control is the hardest part and resting our bodies is much needed. Hope today is much better for you kiddo.
