Guest guest
Hi guys I finally got to my primary today. I told him about the tremors at night and how they are centrally located to my abdominal area but will become more scattered the more more tired I get. So, he looked at my meds and asked me who I was seeing for a neurologist. I told him I wasnt currently seeing one and he was slightly displeased to say the least and told me to find one ASAP. He felt that perhaps my neurontin was causing the problems but couldnt say for sure and wasnt about to mess with it. He put me on a muscle relaxer in the meantime but I dont know which one yet, he called it in but didnt say what it was. I called my old employer and got an appointment however I cant get in until January 3rd. It seems so far off but I guess it really isnt. Hopefully my UR will be wise and approve this visit as it is all in someway related to what happened. I will pick up the new med tonight and see how it goes. Guest guest
Donna - I'm glad that they prescribed a med for the tremors and I hope that it helps. I'm concerned, though, about how long you have to wait to see the neurologist. Id there any way to speed this up? It's interesting that the doc thinks that it might be the neurontin... Neurontin is actually sometimes prescribed to help with restless legs syndrome.... You know, that jumpy feeling that we all get in our legs sometimes as we're trying to go to sleep? SInce I'm seeing you on Sunday, I hope that you're be able to tell me then that the new med is helping. Barbara Donna wrote: Hi guysI finally got to my primary today. He put me on flexeril which I did call the pharmacy and ask about since Im on ultram but he said the dose was so low that he didnt feel the interaction would be significant enough to worry about. I had minimal tremors last night, maybe 2-3 small abdominal tremors and a little bit of leg and arm twitches, hopefully this will improve. Unfortunately here in this area waiting 6 weeks or so for an appointment with a neurologist isnt uncommon. I chose this neurologist though because I worked for him for about 2 yrs and trust him over others in the area. I dont feel that right now its imperitive that I see him immediately but Im sure if it becomes a bigger problem my primary and him can work out an earlier date. I have an appt at the end of the month with the pain clinic and I will mention the question my dr has about the neurontin issues then. Cant wait to see you Sunday Barbara!
