Hello all

I have what I think is a simple question.

I am schedualed for a 'lipid panel' blood draw. On the back of this form it

says that this draw looks at: cholesterol, HDL, triglycerides, LDL, and

VLDL. I am wanting to know if it will measure liver function as well; as I

am having green/yellow BMs for about a week now.

Will a lipid panel tell if there is 'something' wrong with the liver?

No a lipid panel will not tell you anything about the liver. If you want to know

about the liver you need a liver panel to check liver function.

SGOT,SGPT,LDH,BILIRUBIN, ETC.

Sincerely, S.
