Dawn,

Good for you.. I think once they find out they cannot simply walk all over you, they start doing things they are supposed to.

Hope that your back is settling down some and that your pain levels are decreasing. I know this cold weather is doing a number on me. Yesterday, we had 65, today 45.

Hugs,

Jo

Good job, Dawn! We do have to be our own advocate a lot of the time. I'm thinking that being 's in school because of ADHD has made me stronger in this area for fighting now when needed. Hope you can get that back straightened up!

Thanks so much for your concern, but the pain is off the charts today! It is down both legs and I look like a 90 year old women the way I am walking! I just hope that I start to get some treatments, because tonight I have to give an MS injection and that will cause more inflamation and more pain! I am not looking forward to that! Take Care and LOL and Prayers!!! Hope that you are well and feeling better.

Jo,

Thanks for showing how much you care and I just hope that I get a decent pain doc as an IME. I do know it will be much better than getting a chiropractor!

My back has been terrible and barely able to walk. The pain is down both legs all over my back, and in my neck. Having a rough time walking at the moment. I do believe that the weather is having something to do with this, so I think it is going to be a very long winter! How did your husband do on the test? Sorry I forgot to ask earlier! LOL and Best Wishes!!!

Dawn,

I have heard of some people say that they have gone to a Chiro for treatments with their RSD.....and, I do know that at my GP's Physical Therapy they have something called a "Fibro Massage" for those with Fibromyalgia...

And, There is a Commercial here in my area for a Chiropractor, "Dr. (Bob) " in Omaha, Nebraska that claims that he can help anyone that has been in any kind of vehicle accident, with Chiropractic Care...anyone who has been going to Doctors that hasn't been helping them, tired of taking pills that aren't helping, etc......

I don't have a phone book with Omaha, Nebraska Phone Numbers.....Usually I can find what I need in my Council Bluffs (Western Iowa) Yellow Pages which also has some Omaha, Nebraska Business's in it too. I can probably find out the phone number tomorrow while I'm watching TV though....

The reason why I kept going on about it is because if I can get the Phone Number, you could call it and ask them if they have done any Chiropractic Care on RSD Patients before. You wouldn't have to tell them that you wasn't from there area....or, if they did ask you where you was from, you could always use my town for a residence since I live close to them just so that you could get some answers from them that you need to find out.

I sure wouldn't let anyone touch me though without finding out some statistics first, or be able to talk to someone else that has actually had it done to them. I do remember now that there was a member here in the group last year or the year before that was seeing a Chiropractor for her RSD.....she said that it was doing great for her pain but I honestly don't remember if it was in her leg or arm.

Another thing you'll have to remember.....

If you do find someone else that has gone to see a Chiropractor for their RSD....Remember that whether they had good luck or bad luck.....what one might experience, 10 others might have the complete opposite luck with it.

Good luck, and I'll try to remember to get that phone number for you tomorrow!

Hi Everyone,

Well you are not going to believe what happened this morning! I guess when you know you are right you make out so much better when you fight and prove them wrong. I recieved a phone call a little while ago from the office of my nurse case manager! They canceled my appointment with the chiropractor and are going to reschedule me with a pain doctor. This is because on Saturday I was so upset about this decision, I left a very nasty message with my nurse case manager and told her that I new this was a setup and do not think I will let you get away with it. I also told her that I was going to get the statistics of how many people with RSD are now getting treated or were ever treated by a chiropractor. As my lawyer recently told me this is a business for them and they do not care at all about the people that are injured and suffer from these illnesses!!! I do not care what it takes, but after all they have put me through, I will not let them win this at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I almost feel like beating them will make me feel better. At this point I think it will a little. I have been in so much pain again this weekend it has been crazy. My back has gone completely out and I can barely walk. It took about fifteen minutes to get out of bed this morning, because the pain was so bad. Anyhow I wish all of you the best and please do not let yourself get conned by these WC case managers!! Even the LTD and SSDI case workers are the same, they just do not care and they try to be great actors and actresses, unless you catch them. I trust none of them and will keep on fighting for me!! Take Care and LOL Always!

Dawn

Dawn you are speaking the absolute truth the only one out there looking out for your best interests is you. There are good doctors that care, and lawyers, because they want the settlement money. I made the mistake of trusting my work until they stabbed in the back.

So I am watching them,

I think they all should be given Academy Awards for their acting. I'm

getting more and more irritated with all of them as they continue to

drag their feet through this process.

The IME I had done was so pathetically inaccurate and made no sense

whatsoever. My case manager was telling me how I HAD to return to my

old job, that I could do it on mod duty and blah blah blah until I

asked her what of my job requirements was I STILL able to do, she

first told me to ask HR and state my restrictions..at which point I

asked her what exactly ARE my restrictions which of course she

couldnt answer cuz the IME that THEY asked for was so vague that it

told them absolutely nothing and what he did state was grossly

inacurrate! Now low and behold, its not good enough and I require an

FCE, so its back to the waiting game and Im in a holding pattern yet

again!

I REALLY wanted to be back to some sort of employment so that I could

think about a decent Christmas, but it doesnt look like its going to

happen and that bums me out some.

Oh well, at least on the positive side I can return to OT now even

though I have since lost most of the muscle that I had worked 11

months to gain....*SIGH*

Sadly I've been learning the hard way how my employer wants so much

to stab me in the back, working in a retirement facility has its

hazardous times and unpreditable situations around every corner. Not

being able to predict every scenario will most definetely lead to an

incident report over the tiniest infraction which will lead to

warnings and eventually termination. They arent thrilled with me at

the moment anyway cuz they tried to terminate me once and I fought

it, now I'm caught up with bills as far as they are concerned and all

thats left is for me to return which will be on my terms if it means

at all.

I hope both you and Daw are feeling well this evening and that you

rest well tonight!
