This is Mike. I am at Cindy C.'s in Detroit and we were doing a quick check on

the posts before starting in this morning and saw yours. If you can either drop

me an off-list email or a post and let me know where you leftover neck pain is,

I will see about setting you up with some specific acupressure point routines

that you can use yourself when I get back home. I will also do some checking to

find out more detail about " guasha " since this is one that I am not familiar

with.

eastern medicine and neurosugeon & costs too

I spoke with the nurse practioner in Dr. Heffez'es office Friday about my

constant, leftover neck pain from my surgery. I was rather stunned and

impressed

to hear that the np is getting his masters degree in eastern medicine. He told

me that it sounded pretty clear that I have a " stagnation " where the blood

and energy are not be allowed to flow for some reason. He said that

acupunture,

which my ins. company doesn't pay for, and a special type of massage work

called something like guasha where they scrape the muscles with the back side

of

ceremic spoons would help me. My insurance company doesn't pay for anything

like that. I am having to wear my soft collar more and more.

The first words outof his mouth was that Dr. Heffez really wanted to see me

back . To fly out to Chicago again, pay for a room and fly back is just too

expensive. That's not to mention the ugliness I got from the Rhuemie last

time!!

ohhhhhhh! GUess what!! I found out Friday from my insurance co. when I kept

getting bills for over $ 40, 000 from my surgery that weren't paid for that

the

insurance company only oked for me to have the surgery and go home the NEXT

DAY@@@!!!! I couldn't believe it. I was still in intensive care then!!

What an outrage@@!!!!
