Guest guest
Bonnie, One statement from a doctor who did *one* surgery on me, plus knew pretty much nothing else about me, kept SSDis. from going through for 5-6 years. All the other doctors- which included some who were *appointed* by SS to evaluate my condition, and their opinions that I definitely qualified, was completely ignored. The one lone statement of the one doc, hindered me from getting it sooner. The same thing was said on my denials " my condition is not severe enough to keep me from working. " From there it too went on to then law judge who also denied it--said I could be a crossing guard <ROLF> ...which was ridiculous. My attorney and I ended up suing Health and Human Services. At that point it was heard by the Circuit Court Judge for our area in Ill. His decision was to grant it! Among some of the comments was a statement that said I should have had it granted when it was *first* applied for. Go figure. Sure wish you were able to have it granted. Keep on plugging away at it!! It's not time to throw in the towel yet! Love and hugs, CindyH Wisc.
