Guest guest
A few replies.... I felt pretty good today, so naturally overdid it and was busier inside my house than a one-legged man in a butt kicking contest. About knees: When Dr. Heffez in Chicago examined me last Friday, one of the things (which defies my ability to understand) he asked me to do during the exam was to squat to the floor and then come back up...unassisted! I told him I could not do this without risking hip dislocation (they sublux continuously as I walk anyway, causing my gait to be rather strange as I swing my legs to and fro to ambulate...with the aid of a cane or walker...and sometimes I just get in my trusty wheelchair). He surprisingly did not seem to " get " what I meant, so I attempted the ill advised manuveur. As As I began my descent to the floor into a squatting position, knees out-feet flat, Dr. Heffez began to hear the loud popping and grinding of each set of joints beginning with my ankles...then my knees....then my hips on my way down. His face contorted into making an " OH! " mouth (lips a big round open circle of astonishment). He had to help me back into a standing position, and I rolled my hips back into place (Sis has seen and felt me do this strange and horrible movement). Funny....Dr. Heffez didn't ask me to get into any more odd positions.... Jill, I am so sorry about your shoulder/s. My left one doesn't' want to stay in very well at all anymore, and my right one is going south rapidly. I have seen catalogs that have shoulder braces, but they looked sorta cumbersome and hot for summertime wear. As for hips, I have inadvertently discovered that wearing tight control top pantyhose helps some (not a miracle cure, but I'll take whatever help I can find....gentlemen, if you want to try this, we'll never tell ) As for the comments about how to pronounce EDS, me being from the South, I say it: " Aaaaayyyyylers-Daaaaanloooooos Syndrooooooome " . Long a's, long o's. Us folks from Dixie tend to drawls our words and syllables out slowly. Love, ~LoneStarRose~ (~~)

Or from too many mint julips?
