Guest guest
Pam, Hey what are friends for. i am going to still pray for you and your children that they can get past their fear of him and will seek you out. He has had everything his way and I pray that they will see him for the cowardly creep he is. Anyone who beats his wife or girlfriend is a coward, they are too chicken to go and pick a real fight with someone his own size. I am glad to see that your spirits are better. So don't worry about losing your friends here cause it ain't going to happen Lin HELLO, I WOULD LIKE TO THANK ALL OF YOU ON THE DIGEST FOR PULLING ME THRU A VERY ROUGH SPOT. Guest guest
Lyn, The pain from the herniated discs/sacrum joint (which if I understand correctly is "widening") is different. I have sharp, shooting pains down my leg from my sciatic nerve, in addition to a really achy hip, etc. Some days you can actually see the bulge in my discs.. The biggest problem I have with that is the compressed nerves, which causes numbness and a dull achy pain. I have a huge heating pad that I use on my hip, although it really doesn't help too much, I like the warmth. I also use the hot tub, but that is more for the aching joints, etc. that go with my illnesses. My Dr. wants to operate again, I won't let him right now. The sacrum joint they would try and hold together with pins or something, and until I can't move anymore, I'm just not having it done. It is getting more and more problematic as days go on though. Guest guest
Lyn, I have it in my hips, thighs, lower back and abdomen. I also use my husband, Gene, for a "heating pad" when I get freezing cold! lol, he hates it when I wake him up doing that....but, he deserves it sometimes .... Lately I've been having the same problems though, where I can't sit at my computer for more than a couple of minutes, but I also can't stand for more than a few minutes either......and laying down is out of the question because of the pain, but also because of having my 20 month old son around constantly. I've had RSD for 4 years now, and Fibromyalgia for 9 years, but only Diagnosed for 1 year. I've gone thru 2 C-sections....1 was 5 years ago, the other 17 months ago....and because of the last one, the RSD has spread into the upper half of my body. Just recently, it's spread into my left leg, making it full body RSD. So, yeah, I know what you are talking about! Tonia -------Original Message------- Hi Lin,I'll open by asking if you or anyone else has had a problem with RSD spreading to buttocks and backs of thighs. It is really becoming a problem and I have trouble sitting. Having trouble standing and having trouble sitting leaves only laying which has its own set of problems. I am grateful that the symptoms over my left arm and back comes and then goes for periods. At least I have "change". If I have my dear next to me his bodywarmth directly contacting my skin seems to reduce the "freeze pain"I have regardless if it is in my rear, leg, back or face. Last night I gently buried my various parts on him and felt some relief. It isn't just heat because a heating pad doesn't feel the same. Anyone else have this response? Guest guest
Jo, I can't image having additional problems on top of RSD, yet I am reading everyday that many of you do. I am so sorry and wish for an answer to everyones pain. My thoughts and love are going out in every meditation/prayer to all. Guest guest
Ginny, Thanks so much.. My Dr. did a cortisone injection, however, there was a tear, and it all leaked out. He wanted to do another, but I couldn't see the point in that... unless you repair the tear, it will keep leaking out. I find that the colder it gets, the worse it is, so I'm going into hibernation soon! LOL. Hope you are feeling better today.. I'm trying to get caught up on email. Are you going for tests today?? Guest guest
Jo, I know my back gets worse with the cold also..goes into instant spasms as soon as the cold hits me. I am hoping i can wait on more injections and last the winter....But it will all depend on the sciatica..which so far hasn't bothered me. I did go for 2 tests today..the humphrey field test and pics of the optic nerve....but don't know the results or where I go from here on yet. I was hoping to hear back from the opthamologist today but didn't...I am not sure if he wants further testing done on me. The problem is during the morning my eye is better then after using it all day..right now my eyes is worse then this morning..after rest it calms down some and then gets worse over the day...and we went at 9:30am and my eye was not great or even good but better then when he saw me at 4pm in the afternoon the week before. So I guess i am playing the waiting game right now. Hope they can do something for your back pain other then surgery....Hugs..Ginnyjomal1@... wrote: Ginny, Thanks so much..
