Dental Crown appointment

Hi and thanks to those who responded :)

Yes, I've already had the two appointments for the root canal ...

and so I now have the (1st) appt. for the prep work today and then I'm

scheduled for the 'finish' appt. in two weeks...

As far as the $420.which is 'my' 50% (approx.cost) I mentioned...that is

for the crown. For the actual root canals I have had done...due to the EDS

and long roots etc...I was referred to root canal 'Specialists' for those,

I have had two root canals done in the last year and one about two years

ago...

(About twenty years ago when I first had a root canal done...the whole

thing was simply done by my regular dentist at the time...(not anymore)

apparently mow, there seems to be a specialist for nearly each aspect...

Anyway the specialists charges for root canals are about $200. more than

regular root canal dentists...and...therefore that is also added above the

amount allowed based on the usual 'fee guide' on his dental coverage...

these past few years I have been trying to <somehow...though I am not

even remotely close>...to *try* to catch up on Longggg overdue dental

work for years, which I was in no way able to have done...seems I just get

ready to have some regular work done and 'crack! or ouch there goes

another breakage/ lost filling/ pain and 'new root canal needed etc...

before I can get near to having the crowns done... Yeeesh...

but I must admit that it is nice (and I feel lucky) for the first time im

like about 20 years to have *some* coverage...we get about $1300. a year

(whichever way it is spent)...

So I will be picking up a 'new' square shaped " Magic Bag " (the ones you

zap in the microwave...and take that along...I usually use hot water

bottles throughout the day at home...but figure that on the chair the

flexible 'zap' type bag may work better...

Anyway thanks all

ttfn

Cheri
