Guest guest
LIn - The atarax, while primarily used for its sedating effects as an anti-anxiety med, is actually an antihistamine. It's terrific that you remembered that and that you've been given the okay to go ahead and use it with your other meds. Hope it helps. Re the trip.....Having not traveled in years and just recently having ventured back from New Orleans (and scheduled to fly out on Thursday for Balitimore), my vote would be for you to fly and use the energy that you spare from the long drive to be able to enjoy some time away. If you're up to the "destination" part of the trip and can pace yourself once you arrive, just getting a change of scenery can be a delightful distraction. Although I didn't have nearly the get up and go that I would have hoped to have had while I was in New Orleans (and I ended up doing far less than I would have years ago) I am soooooo glad that I went. Even though I wasn't up to much, the getting away part felt so good that I immediately made traveling plans when I returned. Now it's likely that I may sleep through all of Baltimore but heck I'm going. A change of bed will be a nice thing. SO , my vote? You know your body, but go if you can.....even if it means your flying and your husband driving and meeting you there. Looking forward to hearing what you decide - Barbara
Guest guest
Barbara, My son in law Ronnie actually said that, he said why don't you fly to Reno and have someone pick you up. Dwight's cousin and family are coming to Reno so that might work; hmm it just might work. Wow I didn't know that atarax was used for anti-anxiety because I have been battling with that lately, a knew thing for me. Like I said I was given it to help control the awful itching of psoriasis and even though I haven't seen any break outs yet the itching is driving me crazy and yes I know it is a short trip. OH I have a Grandma moment my daughter just called me and said Katelin has been wanting to talk to you, she had been saying Nana phone! puts on the speaker phone and I will say Hi Katelin, she gets so excited and will keep telling her parents that Nana is on the phone, then she'll say something about her kitty Boo and some other stuff that only another 22 month old would know. But it just made a miserable day a little better. I have some kind of intestinal bug. So I am looking forward to taking my new old med and sleeping until noon, or at least more than 1 hour at a time. Hope you have a great evening, love ya, Lin -- Re: sleeping vs trip Lin LIn - The atarax, while primarily used for its sedating effects as an anti-anxiety med, is actually an antihistamine.
