Guest guest
Hi All: Duaine M here: I'm new to this group. I probably should set back awhile before posting. I would like to let you know a little about myself. I made the choice to live my life drug/alcohol free 19 years ago. For me it's a life commitment. I went to AA because I was told at the time that I had to go to stay sober. I knew I was going to stay sober so I went. I also took Antabuse early on. I was committed so I did what I needed to do. (Except) No one could take away who I was --No one could take away the fact that (I) was doing it. (I) Was staying sober. I never got past part of the first step. I got a sponsor but never used him. I started going more between meetings and finely stopped altogether. Life got better and better. I got closer to my family. I had found a way to live my life clean and sober on my own. I found SOS when it started up and liked their philosophy of each of use are different and each person is the leader in his or her own life. I also liked that no one told another member how to live his or her life. I don't need any group to live my life clean and sober. I work with SOS because --If SOS had been around when I first got sober it would have made life easier for me. -- So may be-- just may be-- I can help make it easier for some one else. I am the webmaster of several SOS web sites and go to Texas jail & prison meetings also I go to the Dallas Texas meeting. I'm looking forward to getting to know Y'all.Get more from the Web.
