It depends on what you are using for an email program and how it works.

They all work differently. Did you try looking up " quoting " in the help

index?

I have tried this and it never works for me, either. When I highlight and

then hit " Reply " , it copies the whole message, not just the highlighted

part. What I have done (that works ok) is highlight the part of the message

that I want to reply to and copy it, then hit " reply " , then delete the whole

message and then " paste " to copy what I want to reply to, I then add my own

" < and > " and write my reply.

Let it quote the whole message, then delete what you don't want, and you

don't have to put in the > yourself.

Let it quote the whole message, then delete what you don't want, and you
