Guest guest
Hi there, my name is Lori and I have had RSD since 1999. Thanks so much for telling your story. By the end of 2003 I was in pretty bad shape. I had RSD in both legs, both feet, back, stomach, esophagus, and face. Was in a wheelchair. Then in December of 2003 I had a severe reaction to mixing prozac with oxycontin and ended up in the hospital for 16 days. But while there all of my pain and symptoms completely stopped. I have been in complete remission ever since. And the shape I was in the docs told me I would also never go into remission or get better. But as you see, they were wrong. Seems to me that most docs look at the glass half empty instead of half full. I completely agree with Cliff. Do not take what the docs say to heart. Remission IS possible and I do believe you will also see a cure in your lifetime. I also believe as hard as it is, believe me I know, that a positive attitude really helps the pain and the symptoms and your outlook on life. This is a devastating disease, no doubt. But if you can try and remain as positive as u can, it will certainly help you reach a goal of remission. One way that helped me stay positive was to give to other rsders as much as I could, Making others happy makes your own heart glad. And prayer is a must. God is still in the business of miracles so please do not feel defeated. I m here always and if you would like to email me personally that is fine with me. This is a good loving group. Ask questions, someone will know the answer and if they do not someone will help you find them. Looking forward to getting to know you better. God Bless you and yours, Love, Lori
Guest guest
I completely agree with Cliff. Lori, you doll. You publicly agreed with me, (my wife doesn't even publicly admit that she's agreed with something I've said!) so you've been duly promoted to the top of my " favorite people " list!!! Peace, love and pain relief! Cliff
