How many month did you take prilosec? There were 3 refills on Dr. R's

scripts. Maybe you only need to call the pharmacy for a refill. I actually

took the carafate relgiously (GOOD JANE) but the only way I could take it was

using a kids medicine spoon so it went directly down my throat and I didn't

have to use a spoon. I'm sure Dr. R could call your pharmacy with a script

if you don't have refills.

Just wanting to get an idea here..can I ask all post-ops their surgery date

and start weight and weight now (or just how much you have lost since

surgery

date)? Just wondering how it goes. I know it is different for everyone but

I just want to see the successes of this surgery.

thanks!

, You sound like you are doing wonderful, Did you have any

complications?

This is kinda personal but did your skin shrink with you? That is my husband

main concern.. I have to laugh because I already have loose skin. I told him

he was in denial. And I plan on having a tummy tuck when the time comes. I

know it is painful but that is what pain pills are for. Sorry for rambling

Hey Jane!

I am feeling pretty good! As you know, since the surgery, the only real

problem I have had is the chronic fatigue etc. Well, I think that a big

part of me did not want to admit that I needed something to help me get

through all this. I did not want to admit that even after losing 70lbs that

I would need an antidepressent. Ya know? Well, I have started it back, and

there is no stopping me now! LOL I am soooooo hyper it seems. I am happy,

and full of energy. It is so funny. Who cares...I will take this forever

if it will keep me happy.

I started at a size 24 and am now in a 16-18 pants and a size 14-16 top. I

still have the huge butt and thigs, and they are not leaving. I can feel my

ribs and my hip bones and it amazes me. I only hate my tummy! YUCK!! I am

hoping that with 40 more lbs that the tummy will go. Lots of stretch marks

too! UgH! Really though, i am getting tons of compliments and I feel great.

The hair loss has started and that sucks, but is not too bad. Even with

all that said.....I am SOOOOO HAPPY!!!! Thanks for asking sweetie!

How are you doing these days???

Jane!

YOU GO! I bet you can already tell a difference with some of the weight

gone, huh? I know, I started at 261 (271 highest) and I was told that it

may be slower for me. I have weighed in reliegiously on ONE set of scales

since the surgery and they said 191 on Easter. I weighed in one week b-4

that at my dr and it said 201. I wanted to cry. I decided to keep going

with the ones that I use though. I know that I have to be under 200 or I

would not be able to get into a misses 18 pants. I have not been out of

plus size since Jr High! I am estatic. Have been having some pain in my

left rib cage. Thought I was having a heart attack at one point. Sent Dr R

a note, and BAM...he answered. GOD LOVE THAT MAN!!!! He said it was

probably gastritis and to start on the prilosec and carafate again. I never

took the carafate(BAD MICHELLE) and I don't have any prilisec left. What do

I do now?

Glad to hear you feel well! YOU KEEP GOING GIRL!!!!

Hi ,

I'm doing good. I'm almost 6 weeks post op now and have lost about 25

pounds. Dr R said I probably wouldn't lose as much as fast because I

started at 250. I feel great but do have quite a bit of hunger. I have had

no problem with food and dumping but haven't tried any fried or sweet. No

desire too.

I have the same problem you do... big butt and hips that I know aren't

going

to go away any time soon.

Sure sounds like you are doing good and your weight loss is great. My

husband sometimes says he wants to get off his prozac and I keep telling

him... NO WAY. You will be on it for the rest of your life and so what...

if it makes you feel good (and me) what's the difference.

You keep going girlfriend.......

Thanks Jane!

I think I do have one more refill for the prilosec. I think Dr R will need

to call in the Carafate for me. I am hoping this will help. Hope I have

not developed and ulcer. I have NOT eaten anything today except 2 bites of

a sandwich at work today...and 2 more bites of potatoe salad tonight. It

just does not want to go down. Thought i was having heart attack in the

kitchen earlier. THank God for Dr R!!! HE ROCKS!!!

(who although her tummy hurts....feels WONDERFUL!!)

How many month did you take prilosec? There were 3 refills on Dr. R's

scripts. Maybe you only need to call the pharmacy for a refill. I actually

took the carafate relgiously (GOOD JANE) but the only way I could take it

was

using a kids medicine spoon so it went directly down my throat and I didn't

have to use a spoon. I'm sure Dr. R could call your pharmacy with a script

if you don't have refills.

I do have to say this...

I am almost 5 months out and have lost 70 lbs thus far. Gone from a size 24

to a size 16/18 bottom and a 14/16 top. I have been very offended by the

comments of late regarding the success of the MGB. Such comments as the one

{ if you did not know they had surgery, you would still say that they are

fat, really burned me up. I am now under 200 lbs and yes I am still

overweight; However, I am FEELING better than I have in years and I LOOK

GOOD! I have even been asked to model for a couple of agencies.

Yes, it has been hard. Hard as Hell! I won't lie to anyone. But when you

stop and look at the results, you will plainly see I made the best decision

for me. How many people do you know can say they have dropped that much

weight in less than 5 months? And I will be really honest and say that I

have only excercied twice. Not something to be proud of, but obviously the

MGB works.

Most of the people I have spoken to who are a year out or further have

almost hit there goal weight. Talk to Kathy Goodman...

You have to be realistic in your goals. I am hoping and praying for

150...but I am 5'8 and large boned. I look damn good right now, and if I

did not lose one more lb I would be happy and would recommend it to anyone.

Your own body will know where you need to be.

Basically...I am on target according to Dr R's charts. Come August I should

be at Goal if not sooner.

Just some inspiration. WIll get you all some pixs this weekend!

Love to you all!

Just wanting to get an idea here..can I ask all post-ops their surgery date

and start weight and weight now (or just how much you have lost since

surgery

date)? Just wondering how it goes. I know it is different for everyone but

I just want to see the successes of this surgery.

thanks!

If you ask the doc REAL NICE he may prescribe Carafate TABLETS for you.

That was what I got when I had an attack of gastritis about a month ago.
