Guest guest
HI everyone. I had the muscle spasms really bad before I went into remission. My RSD doc said that the muscles get depleted of vitamins and this causes them to contract and pull. I went on Vitamin C, besides multi vitamin tablets, and also Fish Oil capsules. The fish oil is great for so many things. Since it is digested by the stomach it goest to all of the necessary organs, tissues, muscles and nerves. And it relaxes them and oils them so the joints and muscles and nerves are lubricated and it calms them all down. The combo works great. I still take them both even tho I am in remission because they are great for arthritis and all the things I mentioned. A not so nice thing to think about or even to say, lol, is your elimination (Number 2 as my mom always said). It lubricates your colon and the tract it follows to come out and makes it so much easier to go. Usually most of the pain meds that rsders take can cause constipation and hard bowel movements as well as painful. But fish oil relieves all of that. Just a suggestion! I think the next time I'm at the pharmacy I'll pick some up and try it. I thought maybe the Pamelor that I was on was causing the spasms throughout my entire body but it seems that it wasnt the case. Last night when I layed down to go to sleep they came back, like a giant hiccup that jolted through my body and woke me up. I could feel it coming on like a deep penetrating tightness and it happened 3 times before I finally settled down and went to sleep. Today when I was laying down to rest it started again, milder but still there enough that I didnt rest all that much. I'm going to call my primary on Monday and see what he suggests. It's almost enough to make me dread sleeping lol...but not that much Talk soon Love Donna
