new to insulin

Fisrt off thanks for letting me join your group.I hope to learn enough

form everyone to help me control my newly diagnosed type 1 diabetes.

So here is my question.I just sarted taking insulin.I take 26 units of

R and 14 units on N in the morning and then 10 units of each in the

evenings.My fasting BS before i was taking anything was running around

300.Now even with the meds my BS doesn't seem to be coming down.So I am

wondering if i need to contact my doctor to increase my insulin or

should i give it some more time?I have only been taking the injections

for about 4 days.
