Guest guest
Hello all you experts! Quick question re:ketostix. We are using the Ketostix brand of ketostrips. The color scale is negative, trace (5mg/dL), small (15), moderate (40), and large (80-160, 2 different shades of burgundy for the lower and higher levels of large.) My question is: are the ketostrip colors and numbers universal for the different brands? Hannah is measuring small (15) -moderate (40) in the am and negative(0) - trace (5) in the afternoon and pm. I notice the numbers used when other people talk of ketones to be more specific. Are there better strips to use? Hannah is 8 months old, does that make a difference with the strips I use? Any info on keto strips would be appreciated. I could also use a little " seminar " on glucose strips. My dietician has said I do not need to test this yet, but I know you are all the hands on experts. Thanks,
