I too have a LOT of stretch marks and my sister has purple stria BAD

(she has had 5 kids before age 30, but her stria are so bad and so

deep one of her doctors thought she had had major abdominal surgery

and another thought she had been in a horrific accident (i.e. thrown

through the windsceen of a car etc).

I think that although stretch marks are common in the " normal "

populationthat we are more susceptable due to our weak/defective

collagen.

Well, I can't compare my boys to other EDSers because we haven't met any, but 3

of my 5 boys have stretch marks way beyond any thing I have seen before. They

are deep and start at the age of 8. My twins only have them on their backs,

horizontal covering about 18 " from their butt crack to the mid back. Dylan's are

showing up everywhere. My boys were all very thin when the marks appeared. I

don't know if Dylan's are worse because of his weight gain this year. He gained

30lbs but also grew 4 inches. He has lost his muscle tone from sitting all day.

I just know that these stretch marks are not " normal " for a 16 year old boy.
