Guest guest
Pam did your doctor give a reason other than does not want to deal with rsd? What kind of doctor is he anyway Pam? Don't know why he could not help you find someone that will help and also knows about rsd. Perhaps you could call his nurse and ask if the doctor could help you stay on meds and find a good Pain doctor. Won't hurt to at least ask. Have you not found a Pain doctor or clinic willing to help you....are you not on Medicaid or one of those, sorry get them mixed up Pam. Anyway is not like do not have anything is it? Perhaps a large hospital would have a group to help you as sometime they take so many in that are what call "hardship" cases meaning do not have any insurance or have little amount of insurance. Just an idea to call a large Hospital and ask for Pain Clinic. You sweet lady, I am so sorry Pam, wish I could help you and my main worry is what if you run out of Neurotin prior to going slowly down on dose? Doesn't your doctor know that cannot stop this med cold turkey? It is not safe Pam. At least many on digest say it is not safe but I am only repeating what others on here have said,as I do not take this med. Can you call a Social Service Agency and get help? I cannot think of good answer Pam and that breaks my heart for you. My best answer is a large Hospital, especially a teaching Hospital. You hang in there, surely some others on here will know how to help you. Just know there is help for you my friend and understand that at least for myself, would be scared or nervous also, and what to do about situation is just a lack of knowing and who to ask. But you will find good answers on the digest. So keep up hope, this will end up with you getting help, try to trust in that Pam. Know those on here are able to help. Write me my friend.
