Guest guest
Not too sure , when 's fecal fat test (uh huh, really pleasant one to get done..) came back as ok, I never went much further with the why's and how's. It is pretty unlikely there is anything like that going on, but it is all I can think of. How have his fat soluble vitamin levels been - ie, Vit A D and E? If there is a fat absorption/metabolism problem going on these usually show as deficient, this is why we went down that path of testing - couldn't get the levels up in a good range despite a heap of supplementing. Mebbe a carnitine issue? If too deficient, short and long term fats might not be metabolising properly? Not sure whose speciliaty this would be - gastroenterologist I guess? If anything were to show up as a problem, I presume digestive enzymes perhaps as a treatment if it was nothing like a carnitine involved? > Hi - > THANKS for responding so soon - I've been very > preoccupied.
